Aliens Love Underpants is a national bestseller that most kids will recognise. The book is brought to life by Big Wooden Horse at the Pleasance. The story follows a gang of mischevious aliens who visit Earth, not to visit humans, but to steal underpants!
The Pleasance is a bustling Fringe venue with multiple shows on in various theatres. This show had pretty high production value with professional lighting and effects. The performers were the ones who really made the show though, the four of them sung, acted, danced and puppeteered their way through the hour in style. They successfully engaged and involved the audience and ensured things moved along at a pace.
Aliens Love Underpants is recommended for ages 2-8, however I felt it was more suitable for 4-8. The youngers ones became restless during acting scenes which was distracting for the older kids.
I’d definitely recommend this show, I think the ticket price represents good value for what is a well put together and executed show.
